Trivia Night was a success last Friday at the Holstein Country Club! We received over $2,000 in donations and Popcorn Bucket sales. Thanks to all of our teams: The Cinemaniacs, The Psychos, Goosfraba, and The Blank Stares. Can't wait to do it again!

Enjoy drinks, popcorn, and candy while bidding on silent auction items - including a one-of-a-kind canvas print by Anne Andresen. Get a chance to buy for the first time the State’s exclusive Bottomless Popcorn Buckets! These popcorn buckets are good for filling with popcorn anytime – even if you didn’t buy a movie ticket! Good for one calendar year after the theatre opens, great for families or anyone who LOVES movie theatre popcorn! Snap a selfie behind our “Oscar Winners” backdrop while gathering your trivia team!
After a short presentation giving an update on the theatre’s renovation and fundraising, teams of 4-8 will find their tables and name their team. Individuals or couples that want to play but do not have a team will be invited to join others that do not have a team, or find other smaller teams to join.
There are 4 Trivia Categories: Comedy/Cartoon, Action/Adventure, Drama/Musical, Horror/Sci-fi. The game will end with a Final Round category. After each question teams will be given 30 seconds to write their answer on provided cards at each table, answers will be collected from each table to be tallied at the end of each category.
There are no phones allowed during the trivia game, but between each category, you are invited to break to grab another drink, restroom, or checking phones.
o There will be prizes for the top 3 scoring teams.
o Silent Auction item bids will conclude at 10pm.
Casey's General Stores, Inc. pledged $5,000 to the Holstein State Theatre. Local Casey's employees, Marilyn Carter and Jasmine Rosemeyer present a check to committee member Kathy Vollmar.
Thanks to Anne & Jerry Andresen for donating this Canvas print for a Silent Auction. Bids will be taken till 10 p.m. on the 18th of March. Bids may be made here, and where the picture is displayed (at Community Bank now) Opening bid has been made at $300 / at least $10 increments. Will be sold at 10 p.m. the 18th at the "MOVIE TRIVIA NIGHT" being held at Country Club at 7 p.m. Happy Bidding!
